Cliff and MaryLou Jepsen were married 50 years ago at St. Edwards’ Catholic Church in Mendon, Michigan on July 1st 1967. They were high school sweethearts and graduates of Mendon High School, with Cliff graduating in 1965 and MaryLou in 1967. After marriage Cliff enlisted in the US Navy, which took the newlyweds to Texas where Cliff specialized in ordinance and MaryLou worked in daycare. In 1970 their first son, Jeff, was born. Cliff spent 4 years enlisted in the US Navy before returning to Michigan where he got a job with the Upjohn Company. In 1974 the couple’s second son, Jason, was born. Cliff continued on with the Upjohn Company for a 30 year career. MaryLou also worked for the Upjohn Company for a 25 year career. The couple retired together at the same time in June of 2000.
After retirement the 2 have spent considerable time pursuing their passion for travelling and camping. They have travelled throughout Europe and extensively in the American West. They continue to attend St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Mendon. In his spare time Cliff enjoys hunting, gardening, and yard work. MaryLou also enjoys gardening, maintaining her beautiful flower gardens, sewing, and baking. MaryLou bakes the best apple and cherry pies east of the Mississippi River! The couple also enjoys spending time attending the many sporting events of their 4 grandchildren, and spending time with their large circle of close friends. They continue to enjoy life living on the St. Joseph River west of Mendon, where they have resided since 1980.
