To life!

Lazar Wolf (Peter Matthew, front left) and Tevye (Philip Borkholder, front right) drink “To life!” after Tevye agrees that his daughter Tzeitel can marry Lazar Wolf during the Three Rivers Community Players’ production of “Fiddler on the Roof” Friday, Oct. 28 at the Players’ Theatre. Also pictured are (back row from left) Daniel Jackson, David Barton, Bob Slingerland, Ethan Babler and Don Stover. The play tells the story of Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
