Does Upton’s stand on these issues have a bearing on debate refusal?
To the editor:
Paul Clements, candidate for congress in the sixth district of Michigan, claims that his opponent, Fred Upton, is against allowing a woman to sue for gender-based wage discrimination, he is against protected unpaid time off for employees in the event they or a family member become ill, and he is a leading opponent of Planned Parenthood, voting multiple times to defund it. Upton tried to make Zika funding dependent on that defunding and led his committee’s highly-publicized investigation of Planned Parenthood last year. Fred Upton refuses to debate Paul Clements. Does his stand on these issues have a bearing on his refusal. Remember this on Nov. 8.
