Author Beverly Lewis brings a crowd to TRPL
THREE RIVERS — Nearly 91 people throughout the Midwest and beyond traveled to meet Beverly Lewis, New York Times bestselling author of more than 100 books, at the Three Rivers Public Library on Saturday, April 14.
Lewis was born in “the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country” and has written Amish-related novels inspired by her maternal grandmother’s Plain heritage. Lewis said she was interested in learning more about the Amish community after learning that her mother was eventually shunned when she didn’t marry a ministerial student who was escorting her, but instead a Mennonite farmer.
