Boundary commission to discuss local issue
LANSING — The State Boundary Commission will soon be discussing the matter of changing the jurisdiction of an approximately 80-acre parcel from Lockport Township to the city of Three Rivers.
The city has requested this change in an effort to put a sports complex on the property, which is between N. Main Street and Buckhorn Road, north of Elm Street and south of Coolidge.
Their meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the Michigan Library & Historical Center, 1st Floor Lake Superior Room, 702 W. Kalamazoo Street, Lansing.
During Monday’s Lockport Township board meeting, Char Zavala said there would be a group meeting at 11 a.m. in the Three Rivers 6 parking lot to travel up to the meeting.
