Bread Turkey

Katrina Bigelow and her mother Karen Bigelow display two “bread turkeys” they made on Monday, Nov. 21 at Piper’s Grinders Galore in Constantine. Katrina Bigelow is the owner, and her mother is an employee at Piper’s. The two baked a dozen bread turkeys and donated one to use as a centerpiece at a special Thanksgiving meal served the same day at the Soup Kitchen at the Constantine United Methodist Church. A full Thanksgiving meal was served, including 22 home-baked pies, at the Soup Kitchen. Over 140 people attended the event, which was staffed by members of the First Congregational Church-UCC, and Constantine High School students. Martin’s Market, Corey Lake Orchards and MMPA donated to the event.
