County FOP Lodge holds benefit basketball game against Detroit Lions legends
THREE RIVERS – Former Detroit Lions players took on members of the St. Joseph County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 106 in a benefit basketball game held at Three Rivers High School on Tuesday.
The event, which has been held for the last 21 years, featured many former Lions players from years past, such as Pro Bowl wide receiver Herman Moore, fullback Corey Schlesinger, and even recently-retired players, such as former running back Joique Bell.
“It’s awesome to play against these guys,” St. Joseph County FOP President Jason Bingaman said. “I’ve played for several years, and you don’t realize how big and athletic these guys are until you are out there playing, standing next to them. Even though they’re all retired, they’re all in great shape.”
