Update on the US 131 Project
THREE RIVERS – The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced an update on construction on US-131 over the next two weeks, as part of the reconstruction of the US-131 corridor through Three Rivers.
This week (Sept. 2-8) the traffic pattern on southbound US-131 will see two way traffic from the M-60 junction to the Hoffman Road/Rocky River bridge area. Roadbuilding and box culvert construction concludes at WR Monroe Blvd. Roadbuilding continues on M-60 near the US-131 junction. Permanent US-131/M-60 signal work will be underway. Asphalt paving is to be completed late in the week at the Rocky River/Hoffman Road area. On Friday, Sept. 6, the traffic pattern will change to the other side of US-131 between M-60 and Coon Hollow Road. Utility relocation work will be ongoing throughout the project.
Next week (Sept. 9-15) there will be two way traffic on southbound US-131 at M-60 junction and two way traffic on northbound US-131 to the Hoffman Road/Rocky River bridge area. Roadbuilding will be completed at M-60/US-131 junction. Asphalt paving will continue at the south end of the project. Permanent US-131/M-60 signal work will continue as will utility relocation work throughout the project. Road construction and Rocky River bridgework is to begin on southbound US-131.
