VICKSBURG  — The Three Rivers “Wildcat” Marching Band took First Place overall in Class B competition at the Vicksburg Invitational Saturday, Oct. 8.  They earned caption awards for “Best Music” and “Best Marching” from the judges.  Other bands in Class B included Plainwell and Charlotte.
“This year’s marching band is incredibly committed and hard-working, and people are taking notice,” director Bryan VanToll said.  “When you have 96 kids all working toward the same goal, it’s a pretty awesome thing to see and hear.  I’m very proud of their progress throughout the season.”
The band will be performing their show:  “Our Show is...For the Birds!” at the following remaining performances:  Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7:15 p.m. (Coldwater High School); Saturday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m. (Stevensville Lakeshore High School); Friday, Oct. 21 at Three Rivers varsity football halftime (Three Rivers High School); and the final show is Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. (Jenison High School).
