Bloomingdale dampens WP’s playoff hopes with 24-17 victory
WHITE PIGEON — White Pigeon’s football team suffered a devastating 24-17 loss at home to Bloomingdale in Southwest 10 Conference play.
Joe Morsaw’s Chiefs fall to 3-4 and out of playoff contention with the loss.
Nate Hagen carried 10 times for 86 yards and two touchdowns for White Pigeon.
The Chiefs also got a 22-yard field goal from Abraham Garcia.
Sebastian Castro added 48 yards rushing on eight attempts for the Chiefs.
Kam Garten completed 2-of-4 passes for 25 yards for White Pigeon.
Austin Yoder had eight tackles for White Pigeon, which trailed Bloomingdale 6-0 after one period, 9-6 at halftime and 17-14 after three periods. Dakota Conley, Sebastian Castro, Mason Aumack and Dominic Solis added six apiece.
Hagen also recovered a fumble and Aumack intercepted a pass.
