Bulldogs shutout by Raiders

CENTREVILLE — Centreville’s football team was unable to dent the scorelboard Friday in a 30-0 loss at home to the Decatur Raiders in Southwest 10 Conference play.
Kyzer Bowen led the Bulldogs with 15 carries for 45 yards rushing.
Centreville rushed for 135 yards as a team.
Justin Norgan recorded six tackles for Centreville.

Schoolcraft 24, Saugatuck 21
SAUGATUCK — Chandler Guiter’s 25-yard field goal with 1:11 left provided the winning margin for Schoolcraft in a 24-21 win at Saugatuck Friday.
Schoolcraft led Saugatuck 7-0 after one period. The Eagles scored first on a two-yard run by Kobe Clark and Guiter added the PAT.
Jack Hunt dove over from two yards out and Guiter’s PAT was good to put the Eagles up 14-0 with 8:12 left in the second quarter.
Saugatuck scored twice before halftime to tie the game at 14-14 entering halftime.
Jackson Shriver threw a 22-yard pass to Bradley Dunn and Evan Czarnecki added the PAT for the Indians’ first points of the night at 6:15.
Shriver completed a 21-yard scoring strike to Jacob Stewart with 0:42 left in the half and Czarnecki added the PAT.
Schoolcraft’s Clark dashed 23 yards for a third-quarter TD and Guiter added the PAT for a 21-14 lead for the Eagles entering the fourth quarter.
Stewart tied the game up with 7:01 remaining on a one-yard run. Czarnecki added the PAT to tie the contest at 21-21.
Schoolcraft rushed the ball 52 times for 278 yards, including 21 carries by Hunt for 112 yards. Quarterback Dylan Straley had 17 carries for 84 yards and Clark lugged the pigskin eight times for 56 yards and two TDs and he caught four passes for 37 yards.
Straley completed five of seven passes for 52 yards with one interception.
Jakob Huysken led Schoocraft’s defense with 12 tackles. Riley Piper added seven stops. River Fox and Mark Melching had six tackles each for the Eagles and Mark Phelps added five.
Piper and Hunt both intercepted a pass for Schoolcraft, now 3-1 overall.
