Morlan leads JV Cats to win; freshmen fall to Dowagiac
THREE RIVERS — The Three Rivers junior varsity and freshman boys’ basketball teams split their games with Dowagiac on Thursday.
Bryce Morlan scored 30 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, had two assists and one steal to lead the Wildcats to a 66-57 win in the junior varsity game.
Traven Van Oss added 10 points, 10 rebounds, one block and three assists for the Wildcats. Nolan Mark finished with eight points, two assists and four steals. Mitchell Coney had seven points and Brendan Brown contributed six points, three assists, six rebounds and two steals.
Three Rivers was defeated by Dowagiac 56-49 in the freshman game.
The loss dampened a 25-point, nine rebounds and five steals performance by Ross O’Connor of Three Rivers.
Devon Gidley added nine points, three assists, 10 rebounds and three steals for the Cats. Carter Minger had five points and seven rebounds.
