Paw Paw downs Three Rivers twice in softball

THREE RIVERS — The Three Rivers varsity softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at home to Paw Paw on Friday, 4-3 and 7-5.
In game one, Kylee Nash had a home run and scored once for Three Rivers. Karalyn Eldridge, Emma Thatcher, Jessica Barnes, Erin Brady and Amy Jo Tavernier all collected one base hit each.
Carpenter scored two runs for Three Rivers.
No pitching stats were available.
Defense told the story for Three Rivers in the nightcap in which the Lady Cats were charged with six errors.
Eldridge, Carpenter, Barnes and Tessa Hawkins all collected two hits apiece. Thatcher, Nash, Brady, Tavernier and Aislyn Sternbergh all had one hit each.
Barnes and Hawkins both collected a double in their hit total.
Scoring runs for the Lady Cats were Eldridge with two, while Barnes, Summer Guthrie and Hawkins all tallied once each.
Barnes picked up the pitching win allowing four hits, two walks and one strikeout. Nash tossed two frames in relief allowing two hits, one walk and two strikeouts.

Lady Cats JV softball goes 4-0
THREE OAKS — The Three Rivers junior varsity softball team swept a pair of doubleheaders last week at Three Oaks River Valley and Dowagiac in a pair of doubleheaders.
On Monday, May 8 at Three Oaks, Three Rivers earned 4-0 and 16-14 victories over their hosts.
