Three Rivers competes in Portage Cross Country Invitational
PORTAGE — The Three Rivers boys’ and girls’ cross country teams participated in the Division 2 races in Saturday’s Portage Invite at Portage West Middle School.
The Three Rivers boys finished in 46th place with 1,236 points, while the Lady Cats were 45th place with 1,270 points in the girls’ race.
Jon Scare of Three Rivers ran a season personal-best time of 17:53 followed by Colby Hasse (18:37), Cole Appoloni (18:49), Logan Borst (19:18), Davis Dickerson (19:37), Donald Munro (19:37) and Andrew Johnson (20:25).
The times turned in by Hasse, Appoloni and Borst were all personal bests.
In the jayvee race for Three Rivers, Nate Adams ran a time of 19:17 followed by Alec Robinson (19:39), Evan Griffioen (20:03), Logan Bierlein (21:48) and Logan Kirby (22:01).
The times by Adams, Robinson and Bierlein were all personal bests.
Carissa Kelley led Three Rivers in the girls’ race with a 163rd-place time of 21:26.
Also competing for Three Rivers were Samantha Mohney (22:23), Alyssa Speelman (23:23), Janetta Kiser (24:00) and Gracie Bowers (27:00).
