Three Rivers spikers swept at Plainwell

PLAINWELL — The Three Rivers varsity volleyball team dropped a four-set match Tuesday at Plainwell 25-17, 12-25, 24-26, 20-25 in its final Wolverine Conference dual match.
“Plainwell is the top seed going into our conference tournament,” said Three Rivers varsity coach Erik Kore. “We played them tough, played with grit, but a few unforced errors turned the match their way.”
Campbell Haradine and Libby Judsen each had nine kills for the Lady Cats. Hannah Orzol added eight kills and Maya Bidelman added 21 assists.
Tessa Hawkins anchored Three Rivers defensively with 23 digs and Shelby Krawczak finished with 16. Morgan Schneider added 14 kills and Bidelman 11.
Darian Cole served up three aces for the Lady Cats, while Krawczak and Hadley Miller had two aces. Haradine and Abby Springer had three blocks each.
Three Rivers ends the regular season 4-6 in the conference and is 15-17-5 overall.

Plainwell JVs down Three Rivers
Three Rivers was swept in two games by Plainwell in the jayvee match 15-23, 13-25.
Erin Brady had nine digs, one block, seven assists and one ace for Three Rivers, now 18-14-3. Alexandria Deel added eight digs and three aces. Megan Tadajewski had six digs. Isabella Karle had six digs and three kills. Jessica Barnes contributed four kills and one block. Jaeden McBride tossed in three digs and one kill. Abigail Stephens finished with three digs, three assists and one ace. Aislyn Sternbergh had three digs and two kills.

Three Rivers freshmen fall
The Three Rivers freshman volleyball team dropped a 23-25, 25-15, 11-15 decision to Plainwell.
Karalyn Eldridge completed the night with five kills for Three Rivers. Emma Thatcher and Caliah Brown added three kills each and Maddie Borst two kills. Tori Brown and Lizzie Bissett served up three aces and Thatcher, Borst and Eldridge also added one ace each. Borst and Caliah Brown both added blocks on defense.
Three Rivers finishes 17-9-8 overall and 14-6 in conference play.
“It was a great season and the highlight of our season was the girls taking home the conference tourney championship,” said Three Rivers freshman coach Don Zabonick.
