TR’s Mains fourth in singles division at Division 2 bowling finals

CANTON — Three Rivers junior Wyatt Mains competed in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 Singles Finals Saturday at the Super Bowl in Canton.
Mains finished tied for fifth after the qualifying round games with Nick Dimitri of South Lyon with a six-game series score of 1223.
Mains rolled game scores of 208, 211, 192, 190, 202 and 220.
The score of 1223 put Mains in the semifinal round where he dropped a two-game match against Austin Robison of Sturgis 448-413.
That gave Mains a final finish of fourth place overall in the tournament.
“It was a lot of fun. The meet is a lot different than what I’m used to with a lot of tough competition that should help me for next season,” Mains said.
