Wildcat tennis finishes seventh at Wolverine Conference Tourney
ALLEGAN — The Three Rivers varsity boys’ tennis team scored 22 points and finished seventh in Saturday’s Wolverine Conference Tournament hosted by Allegan, Plainwell and Otsego.
Allegan finished first with 65 points.
Two players from Three Rivers earned medals for their performance.
Tim Lingk of Three Rivers finished runners-up at No. 4 singles losing to Allegan’s Zeke Carter 0-6, 0-6 in the finals.
At No. 2 singles, Jacob Turner from Three Rivers lost in the consolation finals to Brandon Day of Allegan 2-6, 3-6 and finished fourth
“I am pleased we put together those points for seventh place,” said Three Rivers coach Scott Turner.
Also competing in Saturday’s tournament for Three Rivers were Tyler Seifert at No. 1 singles and Calvin Trammell at No. 3.
Dhruvil Patel and Colby Hartzell competed for Three Rivers at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2, Lars Lund and Lennard Wrigge competed for the ‘Cats and Dan Waltz and David Green represented the team at No. 3 doubles.
Three Rivers forfeited at No. 4 doubles.
