It is with sad hearts that we announce that David William Ingraham Sr., 76, went home to be with his Lord, on Saturday, March 18, 2017. David Ingraham was born Jan. 3, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William C. and Helen R. (Sobczynski) Ingraham. David spent most of his life in Michigan. He lived in Marshall with his parents where his love for the outdoors began to develop. He loved fishing, golfing, and time spent with his family.
David moved to Three Rivers where he graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1959. After graduating with a two-year degree from Whirlpool Technical College in Benton Harbor, he transferred to Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. He operated a bookstore with his parents, enlisted in the Air Force, returned to Three Rivers to serve as police officer, and then worked in the engineering department of The [Kadant] Johnson Corporation for 24 years before retiring in 1999. It was also in Three Rivers that he met the love of his life, Linda L. (Goodwin) Ingraham. They were united in marriage May 22, 1971 and lived most of their married life in Three Rivers.
David was also involved in serving His Lord in many different ways throughout his life. Together with his wife Linda, he was involved the youth ministry at Howardsville Gospel Chapel. He would often be found with his Bible open, reading of the many promises found in God’s Word, jotting down notes, and committing them to memory.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Ingraham. David is survived by his wife, Linda L. (Goodwin) Ingraham of Fairburn, Ga.; two sons, David (Jen) Ingraham of Ada, Minn. and Rob (Sandy) Ingraham of Fayetteville, Ga.; and nine grandchildren, Dylan, Caleb (Rebecca), Zachary, Jordan, Abigail, Noah, Grace and Emma. There will be a private family service together in Georgia.
