ELIZABETH ELLEN (SHANK) BRAGG

Elizabeth Ellen (Shank) Bragg passed away March 13, 2017 at Carmel St. Vincent Hospital, Carmel, Ind. She was born April 12, 1962 in Lansing, daughter of Dennis George and Rebecca Jane (Dudd) Shank.
Beth spent her early years in East Lansing, attending school in East Lansing, San Antonio, and Cypress, Texas. A Pilgrim descendant, she was active in the Children of the American Revolution, Girl Scouting, and church and school music organizations in East Lansing. Beth graduated from Cy-Fair High School, Cypress, Texas, and studied at the University of Houston. She moved to Carmel, Ind. in 1982 and was married to Michael L. Bragg in 1984. Beth worked as a paralegal for law firms in Indianapolis and Hamilton County, Ind. She was an avid member of the Hoosier Mountain Biking Association, serving as “official photographer” for their events state-wide. Beth was known for her good food and hospitality learned shadowing grandmothers Marion and Carol. She loved spending time with her family, partner Dave, and cuddling new granddaughter Eliana since her arrival in December.
Beth is survived by partner, David Tozer; sons, Michael (Chelsey) Bragg II and Christopher (Katlin) Bragg; mother, Rebecca (Dudd) Shank of Constantine; grandchild, Eliana Bragg; sister, Laura (Wesley) Hiser of Indianapolis, Ind.; brothers, Christian (Lisa) Shank of Harbor Springs and Corey (Amy MacDonald) Shank of Three Rivers; aunts, Christine (Dudd) (Bruce) Carlson of Aurora, Colo. and Jacqueline (Dudd) (Denis) Donnelly of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; uncle, David (Kayette) Dudd of Portage; nieces and nephews.
Beth was preceded in death by her father, Dennis G. Shank; grandparents, Harmon and Marion (Hales) Dudd of Constantine and George and Carol (Huff) Shank of White Pigeon.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 18 in Carmel, Ind. Burial of cremains will be at Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers at a later date.
