RAYMOND WESLEY WISE, SR.
On Wednesday, April 19, Raymond Wesley Wise, Sr., went home to be with his family. He was born in Wakeshma Township (Fulton), Mich. on July 16, 1928 to Olley Wise and Jennie Mellor. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 as a MP in Germany. He came home to work for several farmers in the area. He then started working at Simpson Lee Paper Mill in Vicksburg. He met Catheraine I. Ruppert in Schoolcraft and they were married on Jan. 17, 1959. They made their home in Moorepark and went on to have five sons. Raymond had a strong passion for gardening.
He is survived by his wife Catheraine; sons Raymond Jr. (Kathy), Thomas (Lorene), Billy Jo (Leslie), James and Richard; his grandchildren Patrick Wise, Elwin Wise (Megan), Lori Ann Rowell (James), Jaimi Wise (TJ), Zack Wise and Billie Jo Davenport; great grandchildren Mylee, Jaxon, Jonny and Luna Wise, Cole and Declan Rowell, Alexus Higgins and Carwyn Brooks, and Jayden Davenport as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Olley and Jennie Wise; sisters Mable, Ethel, Arlene and Alice; brother Olley Jr.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date to be announced. If you wish to leave a memorial please make all memorials to the American Red Cross.
