Fourth grade feast
For the 17th straight year, Stacy Messner held her annual Thanksgiving Feast for the fourth-grade students at Centreville Elementary. While Messner prepares and serves the turkey, students complete the meal by bringing in prepared food hitting all the side items and a large variety of desserts. For some students, it’s the first of its kind for a Thanksgiving feast; the reason Messner started the idea early in her teaching career. Every year, there are a handful of students in awe of all the food having never experienced such a thing. This year, Messner had special help serving food from her daughter Cassidy and son Collin to complete and model the concept of family, giving and food this Thanksgiving.
