Two major threats
To the editor:
Climate change and nuclear war are the two most imminent threats to life as we know it.
Since 1991 numerous treaties have been signed between the USSR and the US. Donald Trump took us out of a 2010 agreement and increased funds for nuclear weapons.
Every country with nuclear capability needs to be involved in negotiations to eliminate all nuclear weapons.
Climate change requires that all countries be involved in a solution. This is going to require sacrifice from everyone but more from the rich countries because they have more to lose. Young people who will be most affected must lead the way. Poor countries will need financial help. Denial doesn’t work anymore.
Call your elected representatives and tell them to do their job.
