Domestic Violence vigils planned
CENTREVILLE — In observance of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services (DASAS) will be sponsoring their annual candlelight vigils to be held Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Thursday, Oct. 13. Both vigils will begin with a memorial mask workshop at 5:30 p.m. The vigils will begin at 7 p.m.
The Cass County observance will take place Oct. 11 at Faith Bible Church, 61671 High Street in Jones. The Cass County Task Force on Family Violence will co-host the event and Richard Behnke will serve as the keynote speaker. The St. Joseph County observance will take place Oct. 13 at the county courthouse, 125 W. Main St. in Centreville. The St. Joseph County Task Force on Family Violence will co-host the event and Sally Reames will serve as the keynote speaker.
