Three Rivers soccer falls 4-1 on Senior Recognition Night

THREE RIVERS — The Three Rivers varsity boys’ soccer team dropped a  4-1 Wolverine Conference decision at home Wednesday with Vicksburg.
Three Rivers recognized its seniors with their parents just prior to the start of the match.
The Wildcats trailed the Bulldogs 2-0 before scoring their lone goal of the contest just before halftime.
Senior Andrew Johnson crossed the ball to Nick Katsaros who ripped a shot past the Vicksburg goal keeper.
“We definitely had our chances to take the victory today,” said Three Rivers coach Ali Jacobs. “I thought as a team we played with heart, determination, and urgency. We controlled the majority of the game, especially in the final third, however, we were unable to find the back of the net again.
“Overall, I was pleased with our performance tonight and I think we are finally beginning to near our peak.”
