PHILLIP OLEN WARNER
With great bereavement Phillip Olen Warner’s passing in his home surrounded by his family on April 4, 2021 will forever be etched in our hearts. Born July 17, 1935 in Lucas County, Adams Township, Toledo Ohio Phillip was preceded in death by his Wife Shirley Annette Tobias, his Father Milford Warner, his Mother Margaret Lorella Deriner and all twenty of his siblings that he was the fifth child. Survived in death by his Daughter Helen “Casey” Tobias-Pelmear, his Son in Law Thomas Pelmear and two Grandsons Braiden and Keygan Pelmear, Phillip shall be sadly missed.
A Veteran of the United States Army 5th Armored Division from May 17, 1954 – October 22, 1958, Phillip Olen Warner was honorably discharged and will be recognized as such with full Military Funeral Honors at Fort Custer in Augusta, MI which includes a riffle salute, playing of Taps and presentation of the flag to the next of kin. Phillip Olen Warner and his wife Shirley will be placed at Fort Custer Columbarium for final resting.
Along with his military career he worked independently as a General Contractor in construction. Phillip also enjoyed fishing, yard work, woodworking, crafts, taking care of the animals, coffee and chit chat with friends.
Baptized in the Church of Christ Walter Hill, Murfreesboro TN. on April 22, 2012 Phillip was a member of the Church of Christ Three Rivers, MI. Final arrangements were placed in the care of Whitley Memorial Funeral Home in Kalamazoo, MI. and officiated by Brother Michael King of Three Rivers, MI.
A Celebration of Life is being held in Phillip Olen Warner’s Honor May 15, 2021 at 1124 Millard Ct. Three Rivers, MI. 49093 from 2pm – 6pm.
